I decided to do dip into Android development. I have no experience in any sort of embedded or handset programming so I thought it would be interesting.

The tooling is good, free and largely what I already work with (Eclipse). You write code in Java. For the purist you could be concerned that the code doesn't execute as Java.

I have some delicious links tagged for android.

Source Code

I wrote a toy app called scrumpoker.

It's free up on the Android market. Search for 'scrum' and you'll find it.

It's also open source (GPLv3). You can also grab the code from github.

  git clone git://github.com/demian0311/scrumpoker.git

Presentation

Here's a PDF of the presentation I prepared on developing for the Android platform.

I'm scheduled to give this talk at some local user groups
