This is sort of narration for the [2023 In Review YouTube video](https://youtu.be/w-vNuSAX1hQ?si=CnlojOsmKLTEhZEe). ![](https://youtu.be/w-vNuSAX1hQ?si=CnlojOsmKLTEhZEe) We did some snowboarding early in the year. Bodhi is getting better, he's picking it up and having fun. I do a mix of giving him space, being encouraging and telling him to point his f*@king board down the mountain. We did our typical Pensacola trip. We were very lazy and didn't take too much video. We have our high effort Orlando trips but Pensacola is just for relaxing. Then on to Disney World and Universal Studios again in the Summer. We've done it a bunch but it's guaranteed smiles all around. Ryder started working at Chipotle. I remember him coming back after his first shift. He was so happy and I think proud of himself. He likes the job, it's novel now but that's a good sign. I was able to catch a Dodger's game in LA on a trip to see my people out there. A foul ball went right to my hands but my catch was more thumb than the palm of my hand. Courtney and I went back to Palisade, CO. It's not Northern California wine country but it's beautiful, lots of fun. There are about 20 wineries there and we've been to most of them. While in Palisade we ran over to Country Jam. The main stage was very busy, I think you need to bring lawn chairs and camp out. We went to a side stage and saw a great little show by [Colby Acuff](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVU8e2FKVZs). We also saw George Strait. We saw him in Las Vegas once before. He put on a great show. We had floor level seating, it was sorta close but being a short king it wasn't always easy to see. Chris Stapleton opened up for him. There were some drunk gals behind us doing what they do. A couple got thrown out right as Chris Stapleton started singing Tennessee Whiskey, before George Strait even started. Our awesome friends the Carney's from Louisiana paid us a visit. We took them to Breckenridge and Pikes Peak. We saw Greta Van Fleet. Our seats were in the back in the Ball Arena. They played a quick set on a little stage they set up right in front of us. They were great, sounds like Led Zeppelin but a talented band. Then we did the big trip to Yellowstone. We sort of see it as our responsibility to do some national parks mixed in with those Florida trips. It was amazing. Big park, lots to see. We saw bison, bears, deer and lots of beautiful scenery. It was fun to see Yellowstone Lodge, the inspiration for Disney World's Fort Wilderness. We caught Randy Rogers band again at Red Rocks. The show didn't beat the amazing time we had seeing him play on a truck bed at a random county fair in Nebraska. Red Rocks was of course beautiful. The headliner was Parker McCollum. We went away with more appreciation for Parker McCollum, he did a great job. On another trip for work to Southern California I saw the Angels play. Besides seeing Ohtani play I was introduced to the [Rally Monkey](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DysmPwkpXyU). It really is a life changing experience. Ryder did a BJJ match. We had a bit of a problem because there were no opponents in his age bracket at his weight, he's a big boy. So he had to go against grown ass men. It was hard but he got in there and did the thing. Courtney's parents, Allen and Juanita came out to see us. We had a great visit. Allen cooked some good cajun food and we took them to the mountains. We saw Cody Jinks for probably the 3rd time. We might need some time away from Red Rocks. People were carrying on. Then we saw Guns n Roses at the Ball Arena. They were great, I'm not sure what pharmaceuticals they're on but they were getting after it. Slash works very hard to put on a show as they all do. We had lame seats, not meant for our girth. Bodhi got baptized at our church. We took care to make sure he really wanted to do it. We went to Breckenridge for Thanksgiving. Bodhi's picking up snowboarding well but Ryder is ready to tear it up. He goes fast. At the end of the year we did another cruise. We did good excursions. We did a water park in Mexico, boys had lots of fun. We found another excursion that was a private beach island in Honduras. It was very relaxing. Then we did a Mexican wrestling thing. We had a blast, it was very easy. It gave us enough time to go to the Mexican pharmacy and stock up. We fit in a quick trip back to Louisiana to see friends and family. We went tot he [WW2 museum](https://www.nationalww2museum.org/) in New Orleans. It's legit. Another great year in the books. We don't have too many left with the boys. We have to fit in more fun.
