A stop at [Cafe Du Monde](https://shop.cafedumonde.com) confirmed that the coffee is still horrible and the beignets are not a source of nutrition, but it's what you do. Some hotels in New Orleans do a great job decorating for Christmas. We had some flaming [cafe brulot](https://www.arnaudsrestaurant.com/2012/08/cocktail-of-the-week-arnauds-cafe-brulot/), the presentation is better than the taste In the Summer we got out to New York for the wedding of Ashley and Dan. A trip to New York is a good reason to put dietary restrictions aside and have a legit piece of pizza. During the wedding ceremony Bodhi took the chance to say a few words, he almost got the hook. From New York we went directly to Pensacola, our favorite destination for lazy beach time. I took the boys camping in the Indian Peaks wilderness starting at the 4th of July Trailhead and ending up below Lake Dorothy. There was a lot of persistent snow from Winter, it was hard to find a place to setup camp. Navigating that area was some of the most challenging hiking and camping I've done ever. The boys are tough, I put them in rough situations and they did great. We double up at the Grizzly Road; Tracy Byrd and Sawyer Brown in the same month. Finally the Christmas break took us back to Orlando for the parks and a cruise.
